LaGrange First United Methodist Church | Loving boldly. Serving joyfully. Leading courageously.
When summer rolls around, we trade pews for the pier and take worship outside to the banks of West Point Lake. These are the kind of Sunday mornings Georgia was made for.
Sundays at 10:00 am · June 7 – July 26, 2026 · Pyne Road Park MEGA Ramp, West Point Lake
Each Sunday brings a fresh message and a music. All of it happens outside, where the water’s calm and the sky’s wide open. Come feel what worship is like when the walls come down.

The music, the message, this community on the water… it all runs on people who show up and people who give. If Church on the ‘Hooch moved you this summer, we’d love to know you were here. And if you’re moved to support us, every gift helps make this ministry possible.
When peace like a river, attendeth my way
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say
It is well, it is well, with my soul
Refrain:
It is well
With my soul
It is well, it is well with my soul
Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come
Let this blest assurance control
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate
And hath shed His own blood for my soul [Refrain]
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, o my soul! [Refrain]
O Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
the clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
the trump shall resound and the Lord shall descend;
even so, it is well with my soul [Refrain]
Standing on the promises of Christ, my King!
Through eternal ages let His praises ring.
“Glory in the highest!” I will shout and sing,
Standing on the promises of God.
Refrain:
Standing, standing,
standing on the promises of God, my Savior;
standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises that cannot fail!
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
by the living Word of God I shall prevail,
standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
Standing on the promises, I now can see
perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;
standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,
standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
Standing on the promises of Christ, the Lord,
bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,
overcoming daily with the Spirit’s Sword,
standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
list’ning ev’ry moment to the Spirit’s call,
resting in my Savior as my all in all,
standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]

When summer rolls around, we trade the pews for the pier and take worship outside — right on the banks of West Point Lake. It’s casual, it’s beautiful, and it’s exactly what Sunday mornings in Georgia were made for.
Bring a lawn chair. Bring your boat. Bring your family.
The lake and the Lord are both out here waiting.
See you in June! In the meantime, keep up with us on our Church on the Hooch Facebook Page.
