IN-PERSON WORSHIP SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Masks are required for all persons over the age of 3.

Before the Service

Advanced registration will be required to attend the in-person service. Reservations may be made electronically or by calling the church office (706.884.4635).

Seating will begin at 10:30 am. Please try to arrive no later than 10:45 am since it might take extra time to get checked-in, and we will need to begin promptly at 11:00 am to also facilitate worship for our online and radio guests.

Entry is allowed only through the main Sanctuary doors or via the elevator door for those needing handicap access. Don’t worry; there are lots of signs to guide your way!

Sanitization stations are located at both entrances. Each attendee’s temperature will be checked.

Seating is limited in order to promote safety and ensure physical distancing of six feet or more. Every other row will be vacant, and there will be at least three seats between families.

The Sanctuary is electrostatically disinfected before and after each service.

During the Service

Seating is assigned by family unit. After you check in, ushers will escort you to your pre-assigned pew. A worship bulletin will be in your seat that guides you through the service with Scripture, responsive readings, hymns, and announcements.

Keep your face mask on at all times—even when singing!

Online giving will be available, and offering plates will be located at each exit door.

All children must remain with their parent(s) or guardian(s) throughout the service. Nursery services and Children’s Church are not available at this time.

After the Service

All attendees will remain seated until ushers direct each row to the appropriate exit in an orderly fashion to maintain social distance.

The ministers will don masks and be at the front of the Sanctuary and in the Narthex to greet attendees with a wave or elbow bump.  Be sure to introduce yourself!

For effective cleaning, the Sanctuary will be electrostatically disinfected before and after each service.

Parking

Parking will be available in the Vernon Street and Trinity Street parking lots as well as along Trinity and Broad Streets. While the parking lot beside the Methodist Ministries Center (MMC) building will be open, there will be no entry into the MMC or the Children’s Building. Those parking in that area must walk to the Sanctuary entrance.

Restrooms

Restroom access is limited; please plan accordingly.
