Get Ready for Our Spooktacular Community Trunk or Treat!
It’s that time of year again when pumpkins line the porches, costumes come out of storage, and the air gets just a little crisper. Here at The First United Methodist Church of LaGrange, we’re gearing up for one of our favorite fall traditions—our annual Community Trunk or Treat! This family-friendly event is all about bringing our community together for a safe, fun-filled afternoon that everyone can enjoy.
What is Trunk or Treat?
If you’ve never been to a trunk or treat, imagine a line of decorated cars in our parking lot, each with its trunk popped open, filled with candy and creative decorations. Volunteers from our church and community will transform their car trunks into spooky (or not-so-spooky!) scenes, offering a fun and easy way for kids to trick-or-treat, all in one place!
From princesses and superheroes to the classic ghosts and goblins, children of all ages are invited to dress up and join in on the fun. Whether you’re 2 or 82, there’s a place for you at our Trunk or Treat.

How You Can Help
We’re still looking for a few more volunteers to decorate trunks and pass out treats. Not into decorating? No worries! We also need helpers for setup, game stations, and clean-up. If you’re interested in lending a hand, contact jeanne@lagrangefumc.org to sign up.
Whether you’re crafting the perfect costume or putting together that Pinterest-inspired trunk, we can’t wait to see how our community shows up for this special afternoon. It’s not just about the candy—it’s about creating a space where everyone feels welcome, included, and part of something bigger.
So, mark your calendars, invite your friends, and get ready to Trunk or Treat with us!
We can’t wait to see you there! 🎃
